Spell it! English is full of tricky words; some harder than others! The Card Master will sound out a word. See if you can spell it!	Some words sound the same, but why are they spelled differently? Test your knowledge with confusing words and homophones.	French decoded. We use a lot of French words when we speak English. These cards ask you to write the English meaning of a French word.
We all use clichés, but what do they mean? Write what you think these common clichés or idioms mean. You might be surprised!	Latin decoded. Latin’s influence on English is profound. Like French decoded, guess the meaning of these Latin words.	Speed round. How fast can you identify 6 items in a topic? Topics range from state capitals to musical instruments!

How to play.

Shuffle the card deck and place the question cards face down at the centre of the table. Choose a player to start the game. This person becomes the “Card Master”.

The Card Master picks the first card off the top of the pile, reads the question to all players, and turns over the 30-second game timer.

Players write the answer on their dry-erase cards being careful not to let other players see their answer. When the timer is done, time is up, and everyone must reveal their answer to the Card Master.
